MUSCARI, Latifolium Grape Ice Grape Ice is an extraordinary, naturally occurring, sport of one of the most famous Muscari of all time M. Latifolium. M. Latifolium, a Turkish native, was introduced in 1886 and experienced instant popularity because of its two-tone, blossom spikes. Grape Ice took the intriguing two-tone qualities of M. Latifolium to new heights when it was introduced. Each pyramidal blossom spike has a densely layered base of blue grape florets which build to a layer of greenish buds that explode into an opulent crest of white florets. This complex blossom is like nothing you will ever see in the Muscari Family. It is stunning. HZ: 4-8 6” Mid Season

MUSCARI, Comosum Muscari Comosum is, without a doubt, the weirdest Muscari you will ever find. It is also known as The Tassel Hyacinth and was one of Thomas Jefferson’s favorite flowers. He described the plant in his diaries. Comosum was introduced into European gardens in 1596. The tip of the blossom forms a crest of fertile, mahogany-purple florets. Beneath this crest is a cylinder of lavender-blue, sterile, florets. The plants can reach a height of 8-12 inches, but usually are no taller than 6 inches. The bulbs need to be grouped in clusters of 25+ bulbs. The bulbs should be planted 5 inches deep and 3-4 inches apart. HZ: 4-8 6"-12" Mid Seasony

ALLIUM, Christophii Allium christophii has, perhaps, the largest globes in the Allium family. Its globes can reach a diameter of 10-12 inches and often do. The flowers are actually umbrels which consist of 60-100, 6-8 inch, dark purple, sometimes metallic-blue, stalks that circle evenly around a central mass forming a large globe. At the end of each stalk is the real flower, a floret, which is a 6 pointed star with a bright green center. The globes are positioned on a single sturdy stem that is only 12-14 inches tall. Including its globe, an average Christophii is usually no more than 18-24 inches tall. Unlike many Alliums which form densely clustered, fuzzy balls on the top of their stems, Christophii’s globe is a lacey, elegant ball where
