Today the plant is grown on every continent except Antarctica. Marbled Purple Stripe, Khabar, was collected from Khabarofsk, Siberia by Alaskan grower, Bob Ellis. This garlic is mild and creamy baked, nice flavor raw finishing with a mild heat and burst of flavor. Garlic is best when planted in the fall, but can be planted in the spring as soon as the ground can be worked.
